PRODUCT LINE AND BUSINESS DESIGN: TEMPORARY HIPSTER
One month before my birthday I found a list of goals to achieve before I turned 25 that I had written a year prior. I decided that I needed to figure out a business that I could start in one month and achieve my goal. After some brainstorming and informal user research, I decided to create a line of “hipster” temporary tattoos called Temporary Hipster.
PRODUCT DESIGN AND OUTREACH: TEMPORARY HIPSTER
I hired designers, organized and developed branding for three themed tattoo sheets, organized photo shoots, and started doing business development to get the tattoos featured on deal sites and other ecommerce partners. The tattoos were featured on Fab.com where I was able to sell a good portion of my initial inventory. The business broke even in the first year, but it was sort of an experimental side project that I did while also working full time and consulting, so I think it could have been more successful with more attention.
HOW TO BE A HIPSTER Video
One of the most fun parts of this project was creating this video with some filmmaker friends of mine. I wrote the script and directed it. :)
